Creative ceramic workshop: Discover the art of hand-shaping and relax with clay!

Want to create beautiful ceramics yourself and learn the basics of pottery? During this hand-forming workshop, you'll learn various ceramic techniques to create unique, handmade pieces. Whether you're a beginner or already have experience, this creative workshop offers plenty of inspiration and challenge!

Located in Beemte Broekland (near Deventer, Apeldoorn, and Zwolle), I offer ceramic workshops and courses in my studio. Here you can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and explore ceramics. Working with clay is a wonderful way to clear your head and fully immerse yourself in the creative process.

What will you learn?
* Roll Building – Learn how to create organic and strong shapes using the roll building technique.
* Making Slabs – Discover how to create sleek, elegant designs with flat clay slabs.
* Nerikomi – Experiment with layers of clay to create playful patterns and color combinations.
* Thumb pots – The perfect technique for small, characterful ceramic pieces.

Experience the magic of pottery and hand-forming in a relaxed and inspiring environment! After firing, you can take your unique ceramic pieces home with you. Register now and discover your creativity with clay!

Inclusive:

  • Unlimited clay and the use of all tools.
  • Baking and glazing your creations - This way you not only have a nice memory, but also a tangible result to take home with you!
  • Coffee/tea and snacks during the workshop.

What are we going to do?

  • 01

    I'll teach you the basics of pottery. Under supervision, I'll teach you step by step how to create various creations using hand-forming techniques.

  • 02

    Once you've gotten started, we'll take things a step further, depending on your level. For example, we'll teach you how to build using rollers, plates, and thumb holders. Don't worry if it doesn't go perfectly right away – the process is just as much fun as the result!

  • 03

    At the end of the day, you choose the items I'll finish and glaze for you. After 3-4 weeks, you can pick up your items at the studio, or I'll ship them to you.
