Group pottery workshop: discover your creativity and relax with clay!

Looking for a fun and creative activity? During a group pottery workshop, you'll discover the art of working with clay. Located in Beemte Broekland (near Deventer, Apeldoorn, and Zwolle), I offer ceramic workshops and courses in my studio. Surrounded by the tranquility of nature, you can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and explore ceramics. Working with clay is a wonderful way to clear your head and fully immerse yourself in the creative process. Whether you're completely new to the world of ceramics or already have some experience, everyone is welcome!

Choose an introductory pottery lesson, an in-depth workshop that lasts all day, or come together with your child.

 Introductory lesson in pottery and glazing (2.5 hours):
Learn the basics of working with clay during this accessible workshop. In this introductory lesson, you'll use a wheel to create charming cups and bowls, and you can choose between hand-shaping or glazing a piece of ceramic. You'll experience both throwing and hand-shaping, or glazing.

 Full-day Pottery Workshop (6 hours):
For those who truly want to delve deeper! During this intensive day, you'll learn not only the basics but also more advanced techniques. The ample time allows for experimentation, learning, and relaxation. A delicious lunch is included.

Inclusive:

  • Unlimited clay and the use of all tools.
  • Vegetarian lunch
  • Baking and glazing 6 creations - So you not only have a fun memory, but also a tangible result to take home!
  • Coffee/tea and snacks during the workshop.

Parent & Child Pottery Workshop (2 hours): Discover the magic of clay during this fun and creative ceramics workshop, specially designed for parents and children! Together, you'll delve into the world of pottery!

Inclusive:

  • Unlimited clay and the use of all tools.
  • Baking and glazing two creations - This way, you and your child not only have a fun memory, but also a tangible result to take home!
  • Coffee/tea/soft drinks and snacks during the workshop.

Garden Ceramics (3 hours)

Create a unique set of mugs while enjoying a drink and a piece of cake in the middle of nature and choose fun colors and patterns to glaze your mugs.

Inclusive:

  • Firing 2 pieces of ceramic
  • Coffee/tea/soft drinks/homemade cake during the workshop

What are we going to do?

  • 01

    I'll teach you the basics of pottery. Under supervision, I'll teach you step by step how to use the potter's wheel. We'll learn things like centering and building walls. Don't worry if it doesn't go perfectly right away – the process is just as enjoyable as the result!

  • 02

    In the second part of the workshop you can choose a piece of biscuit fired ceramic to glaze with fun colours and patterns.

  • 03

    The turned piece will be glazed by me with a glaze of your choice. You can pick up your items at the studio after 3-4 weeks, or I can ship them for an additional fee.

Group size: From 2 to a maximum of 12 people.

Cost: €85 (Introduction) per person, €220 (full-day) per person or €145 (1 adult + 1 child) Including materials and baking service. (Garden Ceramics) €90
