Pottery Course

Both beginning and more experienced potters are welcome in four comprehensive 2.5-hour lessons. At the potter's wheel, you'll learn basic pottery techniques or advance to advanced techniques at your own level.

In this course you will learn how to center, open, pull up and turn the clay.

We'll have three lessons, and in the final lesson, we'll finish your creation. Then, I'll glaze it with a glaze of your choice and fire it.

After the course, you'll have several hand-thrown pieces! Fired at stoneware temperature with a food-safe glaze.

(Would you like to glaze your work yourself? An additional glazing session can be scheduled for an additional fee.)

Maximum 4 people per course. The course will proceed with a minimum of 2 participants. If you are unable to attend one of the 4 dates, a repeat date can be arranged upon consultation.

After a pottery course, you can join me for a free studio. If you've really got the hang of it and want to learn more, you can book a spot at the potter's wheel with a 4- or 8-session punch card, allowing you to continue practicing and creating at your own pace!
